Getting started

Training has got off to a patchy start. Over Christmas I managed several rides including two 22 milers which included going up Paul Hill on two consecutive days. Unfortunately the holidays ended, Cornwall froze up leaving the roads covered in ice and then the heavens opened so things have ground to a halt in the last couple of weeks, in the last five days all I have managed is Marazion (in a gale) for the Sunday paper and a quick nip down to Penwith’s offices.
I’m looking forward to dryer weather next week to get more regular exercise. Obviously there is lots of time before September but I need to do more miles every week and concentrate on hills and greater distances to increase my stamina.
